Green Construction Skills Village

The Green Construction Skills Village will build on the existing Construction Skills Village that has been operating in Scarborough since 2015.

Over the past 7 years the Construction Skills Village have trained over 300 apprentices, worked with over 800 local SME’s and have secured over £3.5m of funding.

It is this experience that will develop the training in emerging technologies and green construction skills to deliver 229nr level 3-6 qualifications before 2026, engage with 1,405 learners and support 307nr local businesses.

The existing buildings at High Eastfield Farm will be extensively fitted out to form bespoke training facilities to support these outcomes.

With the initial phase to form Electrical and Plumbing training facilities in the small barn being completed in the summer of 2021, the remaining facilities will be complete early in 2023 ready for the 2023/24 academic year.

It is however only with the funding granted by the Scarborough Borough Council Town Deal Board that these innovative facilities can be constructed.
